My Grandpa Renee Rodriguez died Sunday, March 20, 2011. I was able to spend most of Saturday with him by his hospital bed. I was with aunts, uncles and cousins. It's so refreshing to know that no matter where we are in our lives we can all come together, lean on each other and carry each other through. I was very young when Grandma Dixie died so this was my first real good-bye. I never imagined it to be such a spiritual experience. My testimony has grown 10 fold of the Atonement and eternal families. I know Grandma Dixie was anxiously awaiting his arrival and now they are together again after so many years. Grandpa will be missed but he is in a much better place and he is so happy! I'm so grateful to have such a deep appreciation for family. It's the greatest lesson Grandpa and Grandma have taught their children and now they continue to teach us. Families are forever and I'm so grateful to be sealed to Michael and to have Chloe sealed to us. It's the greatest blessing my Savior has given me.
