Poor baby!

Our last week went as follows...
**Thursday (3/3)-Chloe woke up with a massive runny nose. Slept ok. She woke up a few times but put herself back to sleep.
**Friday (3/4)-Runny nose continued. Woke up for about an 1.5 hours, unable to go back to sleep. I had to go in and help sooth her back. Gave her Tylenol assuming it was her new teeth coming through.
**Saturday (3/5)-I have never seen such a runny nose in my life. Drooling like a big lazy dog. It was gross. Went to park to get wiggles out. Went to dinner. Coughing started. Not just a little cough here and there but a very powerful dry cough. No sleeping possible. Was up from midnight-3. Tried sleeping with her on pillows to help elevate her head. No such luck. She was crying and awake. Cough to persistent and powerful. Priesthood blessing administered at 3:15am. She fell asleep by 3:30. I have an even stronger testimony of the Priesthood. So grateful for it.
**Sunday (3/6)-Woke up to a fevered Chloe. Runny nose and cough in full force. Made Michael go to CVS to get serious cough meds. Delsym it is. No nap...coughing too much. Grumpy baby. Gave Delsym for bedtime. Coughing stopped. But woke up for 1 hour crying. Annoyed. Let her work it out for herself.
**Monday (3/7)-Picked up Grandma from airport. Grandma says Chloe looks sick. Might want to take her in. I ignored. Figured if cough comes back full force ok. Chloe grumpy. Cried all day. Not sure why. Nap-not very good. Talked to Nurse Keller (my sis). Informed me to take her in, she might have an ear infection along with her cold, especially since she had a fever and was up the night before for no reason. I ignored her. Monday night-Chloe cried all night long and coughed a little more than night before.
**Tuesday (3/8)-Soo tired from all this lack of sleep. Tried to go running. What a joke. Tried walking instead. Even more of a joke. Went home. Called doctor. Took her in. VERY bad ear infection. Thanks Nurse Keller. Very bad cold. Doc noticed her breathing shallow. He mentioned this the last 3 or 4 times I went to see him. Asked if she was wheezing or having difficulty breathing. I replied no. She just coughs soo hard and often. Sent me home. Cough got a bit better. Hardly noticed it for that whole day/night. Antibiotics started for her ear. She slept well. Thank heavens.
**Wednesday (3/9)-Her nose was super more runny. Is that even possible?? Cough under control. Ear...antibiotics. Got invited to beach. Felt like I should stay home one more day but couldn't resist the nice warm weather. We'd been inside ALL WEEK. We went. Chloe played, had fun. Stayed close to mommy. That never happens. Decided she wanted to chase birds. Mommy encouraged. Helped her run after them. Left the beach. Put in car seat. So tired and worn out she tried to sleep. The only thing stopping her? COUGH...way way worse. Like every 10 seconds she'd cough for about a min. Worry settles in my stomach. No nap...can't stop. Delsym no longer working?? What? That night was rough.
**Thursday (3/10)-Grumpy, emotional, mischievous Chloe. Cried all day long. Nose still super super runny. Cough...SOO BAD!!! Me....Nervous. No sleep that day or night either. Ok...Time to call the doc.
**Friday (3/11)-Call doc 1st thing. Mention her cough is soo much worse and NO medicine will help control it. He wants to see her right away. I can't get in until 11. We get there, Chloe wants to run around...of course! 11:15 we are still in waiting room. I give up, took Chloe outside to run around. 11:30 we finally get called back...wth? We wait forever. 11;45 doc comes in. Checks her breathing for like 5 mins. Her lungs are clear...yay. But her breathing is still very shallow. Thinks it's asthma. Wants to give her a nebulizer treatment and recheck her to see if that helps. Nebulizer treatment comes in. Put mask on Chloe. She sits still for 2.5 second and the WIGS out. Screaming, kicking, arching her back, grabbing the mask. Fighting me to the death. I some how manage to keep the mask on her for about 6 mins. We turn it off. Give her fafa (pacifier) and softy. She lays on me and cries the saddest cry ever. I give kisses and reassurance. I rock her back and forth. I sing her I am a Child of God. She finally settles down and falls asleep. Say what? Even when she was a newborn I don't think she's ever fallen asleep on me. LOVED IT. Doc came back in. Checked breathing. Slowed down and evenly paced. He liked that. Diagnosed Chloe with childhood asthma. Hopefully she grows out of it. Induced usually when kids get sick. Had to buy nebulizer. Gave Chloe 2 more treatments that day. She did so much better with a movie in front of her and promise of candy. Such a good girl.
**Saturday (3/12)-Her coughing has slowed a lot but still present. She got a little nap in and slept pretty good.
**Sunday (3/13)-Coughed hardly at all =) Treatments working. Slept like an angel. NO waking up, NO coughing!! yay!

I love this baby so much and I'm so glad we know what's wrong so we are able to help her. It was a super long emotional week. Both of us are so exhausted. But here's to a fun week outside!

Poor Chloe! And you. I'm so sorry. Kevin had to use an inhaler for a couple weeks. Not fun!
