Comments from the Peanut Gallery!

I know this probably is going to be one of the many posts that will be shared about Twilight but I couldn't resist the opportunity to share my thoughts about the movie! Most of all I want to know what everyone else thought of it!!

I went to the midnight showing with my sister, sister-in-law and a bunch of their fun friends! Some wore t-shirts...that I have to admit were pretty dang cute and I think they were the most original! Yes...we love Twilight...some might say we are too old but...I think not!

Here are some of my personal Highlights from the night and movie...
1. We didn't have to worry about seating...a big thanks to some connections =)
2. Our theatre got to do a Trivia game while we waited inside the theatre and Kim ALMOST won a t-shirt! We are so proud that out of like 200 people she was called on to say her answer...so what if it was wrong! She did great!!
3. Robert Pattinson did a pretty good job in my mind at playing Edward. My expectations were pretty low for him but over all I thought he had some pretty hot moments!!
4. Bella, Jessica, Chief Swan, Mike Newton, Victoria and James were cast PERFECTLY! They really were what I imagined!
5. Some clips from the movie I could have sworn were taken from my own imagination (Chief Swans house for example...PERFECT)
6. The baseball scene and the fight scene were pretty up to snuff.
7. It was over all entertaining!
8. The whole night was fun! Being out and about till the early morning hours celebrating and watching the movie with all the big time Fanatics!
9 I have to admit...I think my favorite part was the LONG and very detailed Harry Potter Trailer...I know...I am such a nerd but I totally shouted out and clapped! I got huge excited butterflies in my stomach! But hey...I just love vampires, witches and wizards! I truly can't help myself!

Now...for the more critical!
1. I felt that the movie was Not developed enough and the parts from the book that were some what developed...developed TOO quickly!
2. There should have been more of Edward and Bella courting and getting to know each other before they just all the sudden fell in love.
3. There wasn't enough passion! I honestly didn't feel that Bella and Edward couldn't live without each other until maybe the end of the movie! (As I was reading I felt the sexual tension and the passion almost the whole time...and come on ladies..isn't that the best part??)
4. There was a lot of time when they were "falling in love"..you know the scenes when there was fake dialogue to music...that's when Bella should have narrated more of her feelings...if people who haven't read the book see the movie they won't be able to comprehend her full feelings of Edward.
--lets me be honest...I am a sucker for the Love, passion and the sexual tension!!
5. We don't really know the Cullens...I wish there would have been more of them!
6. SPEAKING OF THE CULLENS...Rosalie was so freakin ugly! I am sorry...I don't mean to be so rude but honestly...isn't she suppose to be the most beautiful person EVER?? Ew..I could hardly watch her!

Over all I liked the movie...it was super entertaining but I just wanted MORE!! But I understand it's a low budget film and the acting is "green" and it will only get better and more high quality as the movies go on!! I also understand it's a detailed book and you can't fit everything into a 2 hour movie! With that in mind...you should like the movie!!!

**At the end of the day if you consider yourself a real Twilight fan you will LOVE it despite the bad acting, undeveloped storyline, bad make up and some bad casting just because it IS TWILIGHT!

That sounds like fun... I wanted to go to the midnight showing so bad but no one really wanted to go but I am going tonight with a bunch of women from the ward. I am so excited to see it. I just want to see how they portray the book in a movie. I liked reading your thoughts on it though, I'll probably feel the same way but who knows!!! I am glad you go to go with your sister and sister in law..so fun!!! Miss ya!!

Thanks for the fantastic breakdown. I'm excited to see it with my girlfriends tonight! I'm sure I won't like it as much as the book, but its always fun to compare the two.

I totally agree with you! It was good in the end but it fell short of what the book portrayed in my mind!

omg!!! midnight? Michelle you are a jaded fan. The reviews are awful, the critics slammed it and said this would happen. That the craz book lovers will be blind to how awful the movie was not only made but told. Now having said that, i can appreciate a die hard fan on the same principle that Indiana jones didnt wow me or exceed expectations but still entertained me. Having said that that...Indiana Jones in a completely different league than gay vampires with a lot more history and nostalgia. I would rather smoke a cigarette than see this movie.
ps i wrote the same thing on jenns.
