Michael and I decided to make our own Gingerbread house. We went to the store and bought a kit. Lucky for us there was just ONE left. Michael peaked inside the package and said, "there is not nearly enough candy or icing in here!" So we ventured all throughout the store and bought tons of candy and more icing. When we got home we went straight to work. Michael made the icing while I got all the "goods" ready for decorating. Getting started was a bit harder than we imagined. Michael was putting all the wrong pieces together (the roof tops as the walls...yikes)so I had to rearrange them to make them correct. Once our foundation was sturdy we started our little house. We sipped on our hot chocolate while listening to Christmas music as we let our creative minds go to work. It was so much fun to create a fantasy house full of delicious goodies. Two hours later we were finally finished. We were so proud of our accomplishment and so happy with the results. Nobody broke or destroyed the gingerbread and the icing was perfect. Our most proud part of our house were the "peeps" we found at Wal-Mart...Santa Claus coming out of the chimney...the Christmas tree and the snowman in front. Michael would also like me to point out the ice skating rink the "Sour Patch kids" are skating on. Well anyways...enjoy the pictures. We hope you like what we did. Merry Christmas...From the Michel Family!!
