This weekend Michael and I had the opportunity to watch my two nieces, Madison and Anna. My sister and Todd had the chance to spend Friday and Saturday night in Palm Springs. After they left I got to do all those things mothers do each day. I took Madison to Primary program practice, I picked her up, I went to the grocery store...with a kid (Anna) and to Target with both! I bathed, clothed and did hair, read stories, put to bed, wiped bummies, made breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner. I cleaned up toys and messes, I broke up fights and comforted them when they missed mommy. I pretty much did it all. I never realized how much work it takes to be a mom. Not only mentally but physically. I don't think I had time to sit down and really relax all weekend. I felt like I was constantly on the go. And with all that said and done...I loved playing house this weekend. Of course it was hard but its rewarding to know I did it!!! I also have gained a new appreciation for mothers...I always have had an appreciation but after being one for a couple of days...I really appreciate them!!

Isn't it so the best? Just wait until their your own! It's that much better! :)
