We took a few trips to Disneyland, one with Aunt Jennifer and cousin Claire and one with just mommy. I love taking Chloe to Disneyland. She's soo funny. She LOVEs her independence and only goes in the stroller if we need to either 1. get somewhere quickly or 2. going a far distance. She loves to run from ride to ride. And as of recently she loves to sit in her own seat...no more mommy's lap. That last part is a little heart wrenching for me. I love being able to create so many fun memories with my little Lady.
The highlight of the month was going to see the Ellen DeGeneres show. My friend Jessica got tickets and was kind enough to invite me...thanks Jess. We drove up to Burbank, shared fun conversation, checked in, went to lunch, got officially checked in with seats and then we were soon on our way. I was put on an isle seat and I have to admit I was so nervous. I knew Ellen would be dancing right by me but I was more afraid of how embarrassing I would look dancing on TV. Haha. On our show we had Natalie Portman, the vampire girl from the Bachelor (Madison...I feel bad cuz she'll only ever be known as the Vampire girl, so I'm making an effort to use her name) and a cute performance of a dad and his little girl singing the most adorable song. We danced our little hearts out (Literally you dance all the time, and you scream and cheer all the time) and had some good laughs. Emily was brave enough to join in on the dance competition, she should have won! I wish I was as brave as she! The show came to a quick close and as it was finishing up we were still all holding on to hope that Ellen would give away something, anything, even a little tiny thing but the second she called down this "struggling" couple to sit on her nice comfy red chairs we all knew that they were using up the give away budget for the day and as they left with 10,000 dollars we would be left with nothing. Ohh no, I'm not bitter, haha. It's all good. At least Jess and Brittany BOUGHT their own Ellen water and can use the bottle as a souvenir. ha. No really, we all had such a wonderful time and the memories is where it's at!! I don't think I've laughed so hard in a long time. It felt good and refreshing. Thank you girls for a wonderful day. All I have to say is, "I whip my hair back and forth". LOL.
Moving on...Michael is taking some prerequisite classes for his fire academy. He was going to have to do them in a class room at nite but ended up getting online classes which we are happy about. He is working so hard to support our little family and to reach his goal of Fireman. I'm so proud of him.
We are looking forward to the month of February. I love this month. We have lots of family birthday's to celebrate, a few baby showers, wedding showers AND the most important is I will have a new niece or NEPHEW in just a few weeks (hopefully by the end of this one). To say I'm excited is an understatement. I feel just as excited as if it were my own. I wonder if it will be a girl or a BOY! If you can't already tell I'm feeling very confident with BOY!
We'll keep you posted with our all our February happenings.
