"Catch up or Ketchup day"

Remember in elementary school when you would have "Catch up days" and you would finish up all the work we had been previously worked on but never had time to finish. Well I always thought that it was "Ketchup" as in the condiment you use on your hot dogs...and I never understood why they called it that...but then I got smart and I realized what it really meant. Today I need to "Catch up" on my blog. I have been such a slacker and with summer here it's only going to get worse...I just know myself. I rather be outside swimming or at the beach. But I promise an update here and there.

Over the past month we have spent time at the beach.

Enjoyed our last few days at Disneyland before summer with Chloe's "guys" aka her favorite people in the whole wide world aka her cousins.

A fun and friendly run for Tricia called "RUN Tricia! Run" Since she doesn't have enough money right now to sign up for a legit race my mom thought it would be a great idea to just get some family and friends together and run from Chaparosa Park to Salt Creek. Well Jennifer took matters into her own hands and put everything together. She has the most wonderful and supportive friends that donated money, made t-shirts, brought food and brought family for the finish line. It was about 3.5 miles and about 20 people ran. At the finish line we enjoyed a breakfast full of bagels, banana bread, fruit, Gatorade, water, juice, and doughnuts. It was so fun and with the money that was graciously
donated my mom and Tricia both can sign up for a half marathon. Thanks for everyone who came and helped out...seriously it meant so much. I get a little teary eyed when I think of all those who love Tricia and are so willing to be there for her...as for those of you who had no idea and would have come...we are thinking this might just be an annual event. So next year!?!
Michael celebrated his first fathers day and it was so much fun making the day special for him. Chloe and I had fun making his card. I was originally going to paint her hands and do a hand prints on the card but have you ever tried to battle a little crazy hyper 9 month old baby? Yeah it's not easy so instead I traced her hands...haha...even harder. Needless to say we did it anyway. Then we made daddy breakfast in bed (eggs, toast, yogurt with granola). We gave him his card and opened his gift. We bought him earphones for his laptop...so he can watch movies late at night and not waking me up ;-). We enjoyed stake conference weekend at church. The ladies in the family made the men a steak dinner. I am so thankful for my husband and my dad...they are the most important men in my life. I love them both so much and am so thankful for their faithfulness and good examples.
Chloe also turned 9 months on 6/19. She is getting so big! She is still in the 90th percentile for height and 75th for weight. The doctor told me I could turn her around in a car seat if I wanted to but might want to wait just one more month. I couldn't believe this. I can't believe how fast she is growing up.
*She is crawling EVERY where...all over the place...and faster and faster everyday.
*She is always crawling towards danger...sharp corners, fireplace, electric sockets...you name it!
*She got her first cut and bloodly lip...she was crawling and just slapped her face on our hardwood floors. I am starting to think carpet is a better way to go with babies.
*She is constantly talking and babbling...her favorite sound is DADADAA which Michael is so proud of...haha
*She LOVES her bottles and loves to eat real food. No more rice cereal for this little bug.
*She hates her carseat as of last week...crys while in it and whines the whole time we are driving.
*She eats sand...just eats it all day long...doesn't even realize it's gross...just puts it in her mouth.
*She can pull herself up on her knees...sometimes she gets saucey and tries her feet but topples over.
*Loves Handy Manny and Mickey Mouse Club House.
*Loves to take all her toys out of her toy box and put them back in.
*Is experiencing stanger danger
*Is the hardest baby to hold...she always wants to grab at things around her, get down and is always moving.
*She selpt through the night for a whole week...first time in her whole life. I think I am starting to like this.
That's all for now...Until next time!
