The count down...

I have 20 days until my official due date....the question on every one's mind is "when is this baby going to come?"

With all my preterm contractions and low amniotic fluid we all figured she would come early.

I have been to the doctors twice a week to keep tabs on baby girl and although my fluid is still low my contractions have stopped...which now leads me to think maybe she will just be on time...last week I was 0cm dilated and 0% effaced. I had NO signs of any sort of labor. Only yesterday did I start to feel a TINY Itty bit crampy.

And then there was today...I had an ultrasound to measure the baby's growth. She averaged out to be around 36 weeks and 3 days...which stinks because I am 37 weeks and 1 day and is estimated to weigh 6 lbs and 9 oz....doesn't that sound heavy for a baby that measures 36 weeks? As I was in the doctor's office I kept thinking..great...she is small and now she's going to be late! (But I reminded myself I was small and came 2 weeks early...4 according to the doctor's calculations).

But when it comes down to it...she will come when she comes! If my fluid levels remain on the lower end of the "safe" spectrum my doctor won't let me go past my due date...BUT who knows! This baby could do whatever...based on the evidence at hand!

My official guess is September 20th...I just like that number and 2 days early sounds realistic. Michael is thinking closer to the 17th...lets be honest we are both so excited we would take her right now.
*And for those who are wondering...yes...I am still on bed rest. I admit I cheated a little bit last week because I was so sure everything was going perfect...but doctor ordered me yesterday that I have to get my fluid levels higher before I start going out. I am just thankful it's not complete bed rest. I am still able to get up and go to the bathroom, eat meals at the table, shower, and even sit for a short amount of time. For those little things I am grateful! I am also thankful that baby girl looks healthy and is doing well.
