Baby Girl Update

Our baby girl is doing just great. We have had the opportunity to hear her little heartbeat a few times this month. It seems she is growing and doing well. I can feel her move now...like all the time! It may seem a little too early for a first timer but there is no doubt about the pokes and movement I have in my tummy. I love to feel her move...helps me feel like I really am pregnant. I am only worried that her most active hours are between 3-4am...YIKES!
There are just a few things I would love to learn before I have a girl. These things may seem really unimportant to many but in my mind they are essential for skills to have when raising a girl.

1. I need to learn how to french braid. I'll be honest...I am not that bad but I am not good either. It takes me at least 5-8 tries before I get it right. I love braids and want to be able to braid baby girls hair...when she has it!

2. I must learn how to make bows and headbands. I love a big bow or flower. The only problem is...the cute bows or headbands are always soo expensive. So...if I can learn to do it on my own I can do it anytime and probably for a better price.
3. I am in the midst of learning how to sew but I really want to be able to sew without the constant help of my talented and patient mother.
I know these are all things I will learn in time and I will get better with experience! So...bring on the practice!

Hey this is your long lost friend from Utah! I understand your concerns with having a baby girl. I'm having my first girl in July, and I don't know how to do those things either!

I thought I was the only girl who wasn't really good at french braiding! It's good to know there's two of us...but not for long :) Good luck with all three skills!
