Before I get started let me paint a picture for you. This morning as Michael and I woke up we looked out the window and saw cold, blistery and dreary weather. As I drove to work at 6:30am the rain was pouring down the roads wet and slippery and everyone driving carefully because they can hardly see out their windshield...my stomach was turning with nerves for the election today! Do you think the weather has anything to do with what day it is? The last day of battle and war...fighting and enduring to the end of Prop 8??? Well if it was I can assure you that as I was driving home from work I felt nothing but pure hope and joy! My stomach no longer filled with nerves but excitement!! As I drove the clouds were breaking up...Angel rays were spreading throughout the earth and amidst it all a beautiful rainbow stretching across the sky...not to mention about 1,000 or YES on Prop 8 signs filling every inch of street corner and medians!! I am so proud of every one's efforts and can honestly say I am so thankful I have the church in my life and a Heavenly Father who loves us so much! I am proud to be on his side!!
Why else is today going great...WELL
1. It cost me less than $30 to fill up my car this morning!! (this is huge)
2. I don't have work for the rest of the day.
3. It rained (first time all year)
4. It's cold outside
5. I voted
6. I voted YES on Prop 8 and even got a little emotional when I did (shh don't tell)
6. I get to spend the day with Michael
7. I did all my major cleaning yesterday so I don't have any today!
YEP...I am more optimistic than ever!!

Isn't it comforting that we know what rainbows mean!?! What a positive reminder to wake up to after a day like yesterday :)
I love you! I am glad to have my best friend live so close!!!
