New Years in South Carolina

A couple days after Christmas Michael and I headed to South Carolina to visit with his family for New Years. We arrived Friday night and enjoyed being with his family. We had a lot of good times. We played a lot of games, ate food, went to the movies, visited with his grandparents, ate some more, shopped, got our teeth checked for free from his uncle, ate a lot more, watched football and then ate some more. Over all we ate the whole time. I guess it's true "everything taste better in the south". I seriously haven't eaten so much in my life. Needless to say I have been running and working out ever since we got back. It was a very fun experience to see them and rebuild some relationships. It was also important that we had the chance to go because Michael's grandfather past away on Tuesday afternoon. We had the chance to visit with him about 2 hours before he past. We were saddened by his loss but know that he is in a much better place and no longer in any pain. I know that the while trip was worth while just so Michael could say his last good-bye. Now that we are back we are working and getting into the swing of things. We will miss his family but it feels so good to have our own apartment and our own bed! Thanks Michel family for letting us come have fun!!
